Tooth Extractions

Sometimes a tooth is too damaged, decayed, or crowded to save. When that's the case, a straightforward extraction — done comfortably under local anesthesia — is often the most practical path forward.

What it is

An extraction is the removal of a tooth that can't be saved through a filling, crown, or root canal — or that needs to come out for other reasons, like severe crowding. Dr. Kim will always look at whether the tooth can realistically be saved first; extraction is generally a last resort rather than a first option.
