What it is
A mouth guard is a protective shell worn over the teeth, most commonly for two reasons: to protect against nighttime teeth grinding (bruxism), which can wear down and crack teeth over time, or to protect teeth during contact sports. A custom guard is molded specifically to your bite for a secure, comfortable fit — unlike boil-and-bite versions from the store.
