What it is
An oral cancer screening is a straightforward exam where Dr. Kim looks at and feels the soft tissues in your mouth, tongue, throat, and neck for anything unusual — sores that won't heal, discoloration, lumps, or other changes. It takes just a few minutes and is often done as part of a regular checkup rather than as a separate appointment.
What to expect

Dr. Kim examines your lips, cheeks, gums, tongue, and the roof and floor of your mouth. - 2Physical check
A brief feel of the jaw, neck, and throat area checks for any unusual lumps or swelling. - 3Follow-up if needed
If anything looks worth a closer look, you'll be referred to the right specialist for further evaluation.
